Cottages Commanda Lake
We
have two exceptionally well appointed cottages on the shores of Commanda
Lake, Ontario, Canada and one new, modern Casa (home) by Lake Chapala, Mexico.
We
are only a four hour drive north of Toronto in the Loring Restoule
Vacation Land. You can relax and enjoy the peace
and tranquility of the lake. Imagine sitting on the private deck of
your cottage and taking in spectacular, breathtaking sunsets.
Your cottage provides privacy while still being in the attractive grounds
of the owner/artist home and pottery/studio craft and art shop where
you can view and purchase her work and that of 90 other artisans.
A very good and reasonably priced restaurant
is conveniently located
next door.
Fish, swim, relax and enjoy our gardens. Rockcliffe Cottages are nestled
on the south eastern shore of Commanda Lake. our lake is about five
miles long and flows into Restoule Lake over a beautiful set of rapids
allowing those familiar with canoeing and portaging access into Restoule Lake.
For those who like to fish we can offer Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike,
Small Mouth Bass, Walleye and other species of game fish.
This historic Restoule Commanda area was first pioneered and settled
by the building of the Nipissing Colonization Road which became the pathway
to Western Canada. Our Restoule Commanda area is part of Ontario's Near
North and known specifically as the Loring Restoule Vacationland. Its
pristine setting is stunning as it was for the pioneers of the 1800's.
Rockcliffe Cottages sits in an area of early Canadian history.
Our Mexico Casa
Our Mexican Villa is new, modern and is fully furnished. You will enjoy
the rooftop balcony with lake view and equipped with outside furniture.
The interior is modern and artistically decorated. Our Casa is equipped
with a Star Choice satellite dish and telephone for local calls only.
Our Casa is a gated community in the small, friendly village of San
Antonio just outside of Chapala. Our community boasts beautiful flower
gardens, swimming pool, hot tub, gym room, clubhouse, and organized activities.
The area is steeped in history and is surrounded by a multitude of other
small villages offering the visitor endless opportunities to explore.
Close by you can enjoy hiking trails, golf, tennis, horse back riding,
live theatre, cinemas, hot springs, popular local markets.
The closest International Airport is Guadalajara which is located just one half hour from our casa.
